Maker's statement

This piece is one of a short series of bowls with open worked bases and "leaf, petal" walls. These pieces are a result of a growing interest in using form as a decorative pattern making element. I wanted this particular piece with its spiral "high heel" and colour that is slightly removed from the natural, to have some ingredients of the exotic.
