Description

Black and unbleached linen warps hung in abstract overlapping patterns between horizontal steel rods.

Materials and techniques

Linen in two natural shades with stainless steel rods. Woven in two layers which are opened out by inserting the stretch rods when it is hung.

Maker's statement

This was really a sample piece to see if the idea of reducing the £D uit worked. As it did, I used it for a commission, but 5 times as wide and twice as high. Now installed in a building outside Boston.
